My Beach Trip

My family and I went to the beach on Monday because it was so hot. I went to have a swim in the water, it was too cold. Then I dived underneath the water and I saw a small jellyfish. I touched it and of course it stung me. I ran to my Mum and showed her where the jellyfish got me.

We headed home and had a big feed!

  1. Hi! My name is Courtney and I am a student at the University of South Alabama. I live by the water and have gotten stung by jellyfish many times in my life! I recently took a vacation to Mexico and when I got in the water, I kept getting stung by something that I couldn't see. Turns out they were tiny, baby jellyfish. I ended up having to get out of the water because I kept being stung. Luckily, my stings did not leave any marks, so I was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation. Please feel free to visit my blog if you have spare time.

  6. Hi Leremus! I'm Kelly. I'm a student in Dr. Strange's EDM310 class at the University of South Alabama. You can see my blog at http://ficarellikellyedm310.blogspot.com/.

Your story was interesting to me because I went to Pensacola Beach last weekend and we saw a huge jellyfish. It was clear with red spots, red tentacles and red around the edges. Its body was as big as a frisbee. I was afraid it would sting my daughter so we got out of the water. Did you know that even if a jellyfish is dead it can still sting? Here is a cool website I found about jellyfish http://www.jellyfishfacts.net/. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for sharing your story with us!
